Savanna Brooke Puckett, age 22 of Springfield, passed away at her home on January 23, 2022. She was born on March 10, 1999 to Thomas Puckett, Jr. and Kimberly Dodson in Gallatin, TN. Savanna was a graduate of Springfield High School and Walter State Law Enforcement Academy.
Savanna started her career at the Robertson County Sheriff’s Office as a Corrections Officer in December 2017. Within the year, she was promoted to a Booking Officer in the Detention Facility. Savanna’s aspirations were to advance her career and become a Patrol Division Officer. She made that dream a reality when she was promoted to Patrol Deputy in May 2020.
At the Robertson County Sheriff’s Office, she touched the lives of everyone. She always showed up early to her shift with a smile on her face. Savanna was hardworking and cared deeply for others. She was a “mother hen” to the Sherrif’s Office, often cooking meals and baking goodies. Savanna was tough, courageous, kind, compassionate, and had an infectious personality that will always be remembered.
Savanna’s world revolved around her nephews as they meant more to her than words can describe. She loved spending time with the boys and being their aunt. Savanna was a loving sister to her siblings and was always a source of positivity. Savanna had a spunky, vibrant personality that was paired with a servant’s heart. She also really enjoyed going out to eat and cuddling with her loyal dog Chloe.
Savanna is preceded in death by her sister, Courtney Puckett; grandparents, Patrick Olds, Rex Collins, Alice Jaggers and Thomas R. Puckett; and great-grandfather, Kenneth Mattox.
She is survived by her parents, Thomas Robert Puckett, Jr., and Kim (Jason) Dodson; siblings, Kristopher Olds, Autumn (Brian) Potter, Kaden Anderson, Caleb Thomas Puckett, and Samantha Lynn Puckett; nephews, Erik and Cash Potter; grandmother, Pam Collins and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins that will miss her dearly.
A Life Celebration will be held at 2pm Saturday, January 29, 2022, at South Haven Baptist Church 116 Academy Drive Springfield, TN 37172. Burial will follow at Springfield Memorial Gardens with Robertson County Sheriff’s Office Honor Guard serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Friday, January 28th from 4:00 - 8:00pm at South Haven Baptist Church then again on Saturday from 11am until the time of service at 2pm.
