Patrick M. Holbert of Greenbrier passed away at the age of 69 on November 17, 2022, at his home surrounded by his family.
Pat was born on February 20, 1953, in Mexico City, Mexico to the late Murrell “Skinnie” and Grace Mary Holbert. Pat attended Colegio Nueva Granada in Bogotá, Colombia, and received his Bachelor of Arts degree from The University of Dallas. He was an electrician and worked for many years at Texas Stadium and Metro Nashville Airport Authority.
Pat loved spending time with his wife and children. After retirement, they enjoyed traveling around the world and camping at state parks across Tennessee. He was an avid golfer and a member at Oak Hills Golf Course for many years. He enjoyed woodworking and woodturning and was a member of the Tennessee Association of Woodturners. He also volunteered his time helping Spanish-speaking adults earn their GED through the HiSET program.
Pat is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Teresa Lynn Holbert; children, Jennifer (Jonathan) Brewer and Chris (Paige) Holbert; granddaughter, Chloe Holbert; sister, Mary Ann “Mindy” (Bob) Hyde; nephews, Andy Hyde and Patrick (Lisa) Hyde; and great niece and nephew, Noah and Lyla Hyde.
A Life Celebration will be held on Monday, December 5, 2022, at Springfield Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 12:00-2:00 P.M. followed by a memorial service at 2:00 P.M. with Brother Luis Lopez officiating. Inurnment will follow. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Esophageal Cancer Action Network (www.ecan.org).
