FORIEST, William Woodrow, born April 17, 1922 and died June 25, 2013. Son of Audrey and Will Foriest. Founding member of Bellevue Church of Christ, loving husband, cherished dad and adored granddad. Raised in Dickson County, TN, moved to Nashville in 1953. He worked for Ford Glass Plant for 27 years. Served our country in the U.S. Army during WWII, known for his gifted hand, the beautiful wrought iron he created can still be seen today throughout Brookmeade and Hillwood. His homemade peanut brittle was legendary. Predeceased by his parents; brothers, Wallace, Sam and Billy; sister, Lorell Heath. He is survived by his wife of 70+ years, Merle Fulmer Foriest; sons, Frank, Wade, Ronald Pam; daughter, Audrey Sue Tosh; sister, Odell Aldridge; grandchildren, Lara F. Tosh, Julie F. Brewer Randy, Jennifer F. Tidwell Dan, Robert Foriest Aimee, Jacquelyn F. Guartuche Joel of TX, Nathan, Brandon and Peyton Foriest; great-grandchildren, Kristeena, Richard, Ryan, Gracie, Jackson and Mia; many nieces and nephews; dear friend, Tom Yarbrough. A life celebration service will be at 10:30 am on Friday, June 28, 2013 at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home. Interment to follow at Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens. Pallbearers: Larry and Johnny Foriest, Eddie and Roger Heath, Charles and Jerry Fulmer. Honorary Pallbearers: Elders of Bellevue Church of Christ, Tom Yarbrough, William Eddings, Tommy Inman, Jimmy Singleton, and Richard Cox. The family would like to thank the staff at the Meadows, the members of Bellevue Church, Alive Hospice and Dr. Bruce Richards for their loving care throughout this journey.
