William Coleman

COLEMAN, William R., age 80 passed away December 30, 2010. William was a long time employee of Stauffer Chemical retiring after 47 years of employment. He was a Deacon of Park Avenue Baptist Church for many years. He also had a love for gospel music. He lead music for Temple Bible Class and sang with several quartets in the Nashville area throughout his life. He was preceded in death by parents, Marvin and Sallie. He is survived by his beloved wife of 61 years Serena; daughter, Elizabeth Ann; granddaughter, Ansley Wells Christopher; grandson, Glenn Bowron Crystal; great-grandchildren, Hunter and Grayson Bowron, and Cooper Wells; brother, James Jan; sister, Dorothy Tate. Funeral Services will be Monday, January 3, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Visitation will be on Sunday, January 2, 2011 from 1:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. and Monday January 3, 2011 one hour prior to service. Grandsons and friends will serve as pallbearers.
