Wayne Clarkson Ellis, Jr., born on January 5, 1984, in Washington, D.C., departed this life unexpectedly on Monday, October 21, 2024, in Hendersonville, Tennessee. He was a beloved son, brother, and father, leaving a legacy of joy and laughter.
Wayne dedicated 11 years of his professional life as a foreman with Solomon Builders, Inc., where his leadership and dedication to his work were admired by colleagues and friends alike. He was known not only for his work ethic but also for his vibrant personality that truly made him shine. Those who had the pleasure of knowing Wayne were often greeted with his little catch phrases that served as a constant source of laughter and uplifted spirits in any environment.
Outside of his professional life, Wayne found solace and joy in the outdoors. He cherished moments spent hiking, camping, kayaking, riding dirt bikes, and racing cars. His adventurous spirit led him to explore the beauty of nature, and his love for outdoor activities created countless cherished memories with family and friends.
Wayne's fun-loving nature brought light into every room he entered. His ability to connect with others and his warm-hearted demeanor will be fondly remembered by those who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his father, Wayne (Jennifer) Ellis, Sr.; his mother, Lisa Mizel; his step-mother, Elizabeth Ellis; his brothers, Nick Ellis and Kurt Ellis; his sister, Christian Sloan; his brothers, William Sloan and Walker Sloan; his children, Rowan Ellis, Jozef Mason, and Myla Ellis; as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins.
A Memorial Gathering will be held at The Rudder 126 River Road, Hendersonville, TN 37075 on Saturday, November 2, from 11am until 3pm.
Wayne Clarkson Ellis, Jr. will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege to call him a friend, family member, and companion in life. His legacy of love and laughter will continue to resonate in the hearts of all who knew him. Springfield Memorial Gardens, Funeral Home and Cremation Center has been entrusted with the cremation arrangements for Mr. Ellis.
