Wanda Vaden, born on July 16, 1944, in Sumner County, Tennessee, passed away peacefully in Nashville, Tennessee, on March 18, 2025. A beloved matriarch and a respected member of her community, Wanda dedicated many years of her life to serving as the Chief Deputy Circuit Court for Robertson County. Her professional contributions were characterized by her dedication and sharp wit, qualities that she also brought into her personal life.
Wanda’s life was deeply enriched by her family. She is survived by her two sons, Thomas Alan Vaden and Michael Wayne Vaden (Diane). Wanda took immense joy in her role as a grandmother, leaving behind grandchildren Thomas Ray Vaden (Becky), Josh Vaden (Callie), William Vaden (Samantha), and Jake Vaden. Furthermore, she cherished her 7 great-grandchildren, who brought her endless happiness.
Wanda held close relationships with her siblings: Larry Adcock (Mary), Charlie Adcock (Jackie), Faye Heatherly (Mike), Kenneth Adcock (Cheryl), David Adcock, Beth Cavender (Randy), and Gary Adcock (Shirley), who will surely remember her loving spirit and quick humor.
Throughout her life, Wanda cultivated wonderful memories with her loved ones, enjoying outings to Cracker Barrel and Larry's Restaurant, indulging in shopping trips, and cherishing quality time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her warmth and playful personality endeared her to all who knew her.
Wanda was preceded in death by her parents, Myles and Juanita Adcock, her husband Thomas Lee Vaden, and her grandson Thomas Alan Vaden, Jr. Each of these losses has left an indelible mark on her family.
A visitation will be held in her honor on March 22, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, followed by a Celebration of Life service at 1:00 PM at the Springfield Memorial Gardens, Funeral Home & Cremation Center, located at 4005 Memorial Blvd, Springfield, TN 37172.
Wanda Vaden will be profoundly missed by her family and friends, but her legacy of love, laughter, and commitment to her community will continue to inspire those who had the privilege of knowing her.
