W.A. Moody

MOODY, W.A., age 88 of Nashville passed away November 28, 2009. Mr. Moody was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Mary Sue. He is survived by his daughter, Susan Ken Bailey; son, Bill Lauryn Moody; grandchildren, Brian Audra Bailey, Chris Cherish Bailey, Josh Kim Moody, Jacob Kelly Moody, Rachel Aaron Kelly, and great-grandchildren, Laura Jane, Micah, and Jeremiah. Mr. Moody was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps, serving with the First Marine Division at the Battle of Guadalcanal in WWII. He practiced law in Nashville for 59 years, and was a founding member of Brook Hollow Baptist Church. A memorial service will be held Monday, November 30th at 2:00 P.M. from Brook Hollow Baptist Church with Tom Gholson and Josh Moody officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 P.M. until time of service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the missionary work of his granddaughter Rachel and her husband Aaron Kelly in Guatemala in care of: Students International, P.O.
