Tom Mohon

Mr. William Thomas Mohon age 82, of Ridgetop, passed away on June 24, 2022, in Murfreesboro, TN. He was born on June 20, 1920, to the late Otho “Red” and Clatie Mohon in Dover, Tennessee and worked for many years at Yellow Freight as a dockman.

Mr. Tom was described as a godly man; he loved his family and his church at Hillside Baptist where he served as Deacon for many years. He was always happy, and his joy rubbed off on those around him. Mr. Tom enjoyed going to Bluegrass Festivals, working in the yard, taking Jeff to Vandy Football games and spending time antiquing with his wife Shirley.

His sweet smile and love for everyone will live on in the hearts of his family forever.

Mr. Tom is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Shirley Mohon and siblings, Jerry Mohon, Lillian Bryant, and Florene Morgan.

He is survived by his son, Jeff (Trish) Mohon; grandchildren, Brittany (Stephen Cathey) Myers and Hunter (Alli) Myers; great grandson, Jaxen Cathey; and sisters, Rosie Stavely, Joyce Hale, Faye Harvey, Lou Deason, and Bonnie Jean Musser.

Funeral Services will be conducted on Tues. June 28th at 11am at Springfield Funeral Home with burial to follow at Springfield Memorial Gardens. Visitation with the family will be on Mon. June 27th from 4-8pm then again on Tues one hour prior to the service. Full obituary at www.SpringfieldFH.com.
