Thomas Uselton

Thomas M. Uselton, 69, of Tullahoma, Tennessee, (formerly of Greenbrier) passed away suddenly on Wednesday, October 25, 2023.  Born June 19, 1954, in Nashville, he was the son of the late Robert Eldon Uselton and Mary Nell Tyler Uselton.

Tom served his country proudly in the United States Marine Corps.  He worked for many years as a truck driver before having a long, successful career in auto sales.  He was a longtime employee at Town & Country Ford of Nashville, where he was known as ‘Square Deal Tom’.  His family will remember him as a loving family man who had a wonderful sense of humor and a quick comeback.  In his spare time, Tom enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson, tinkering with anything he could tinker with, golfing at Oak Hills Golf Course in Greenbrier and Willowbrook Golf Course in Manchester, gardening vegetables and flowers, and watching NASCAR on television.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother William Joseph “Bill” Uselton.

He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Tammy Conquest Uselton; daughter Terra (Jared) Ambrose; son Tom (Heather) Uselton; brothers Robert Lee “Bobby” Uselton and David Wayne (Rhonda) Uselton; sisters Carol Uselton and Linda Gail (Stephen) Slater; brother-in-law Terry (Rhonda) Conquest; grandchildren Brayden Uselton, Reed Uselton, Jordon Ambrose, Jenna Ambrose, and Jaida Ambrose; several nieces and nephews; and last, but not least, special friends Gerald “Tater” Tate and his wife Dot.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 31, from 4 pm until 8 pm at Springfield Funeral Home in Springfield, Tennessee.  A Celebration of Tom’s life will take place on at 1 pm on Wednesday, November 1 at the funeral home and will be officiated by Steve Carter.  The family will welcome friends and visitors at the funeral home from 11 am until 1 pm.  Burial with military graveside honors will follow in Springfield Memorial Gardens.
