Thomas Sawvel

Thomas William Sawvel, age 42 of Hendersonville, passed away Sunday, August 8, 2010. He was a 1986 graduate of Tecumseh High School in New Carlisle, Ohio. He was a graduate of Heidelberg College in Tiffin, Ohio, where he was a two-time All American Football Recipient. He was a Heidelberg Athletics Hall of Fame Nominee and a Heidelberg University Alumni Council Board Member. He was a B.A.S.S. Lifelong Member and a BASSMASTERS Weekend Series Professional Angler, qualifying multiple times for national tournaments and placed in the top 25% in 2007. He was also a member of Hendersonville First United Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife, Tara Wise Sawvel; son, Zachary Thomas Sawvel; his parents, William and Jane Sawvel; sister, Kathy Sawvel; and brother, Dr. John Walter Deborah Sawvel. A Memorial Service will be conducted at 3p.m. on Thursday, August 12, 2010, at Hendersonville First United Methodist Church with Rev. Don Hutchinson officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00p.m until service time, Thursday at the church.
