Thomas Downs

Thomas Woodson Downs, age 82 of Gallatin passed away on Wednesday, December 24, 2008 at his residence. A native of Nashville, Tennessee he was born to the late James and Maude Downs. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by James Downs, and William Downs. He is survived by his wife, Glenda Downs of Gallatin, step-sons; David Patterson Julie of Missouri, Pack Moutria Jennifer of Illinois, step-daughters; Darla Borror Smoky of Illinois, Denise Crownover Thomas of Georgia, eight grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, brothers; Andrew Downs of Lebanon, Irving D. Downs Velma of Gallatin, sisters; Ann Grissom of Gallatin, Virginia Phillips of Gallatin, Irene Tucker of Gallatin, and Emma Haggard of Lebanon. Funeral service will be conducted on Saturday, December 27, 2008 at 1:00 P.M. from the chapel of Gallatin Funeral Home. Interment will follow on December 30, 2008 at the Middle Tennessee Veterans Cemetery with military honors. Visitation will begin on Friday, December 26 at 2:00 – 8:00 P.M. and will resume on Saturday at 10:00 A.M. until service time. Online condolences may be submitted at www.gallatinfuneralhome.com.
