Terry David Wright passed away on Thursday, July 18, 2024. Born on June 14, 1961, in Nashville, Tennessee, he was the son of Lois Farr Wright and the late Charles David Wright. Terry was a beloved husband to Teresa Wright, a loving son to Lois Wright, a caring father to Steven Wright and Cynthia Wright, a cherished brother to Cheryl Bosley, Vilita Wright and James Wright. He is also survived by his 16 grandchildren and step children Angela (Jerry) Keen, Brian (Jodi) Ward, and Wesley (Paula) Ward. In addition to his father, Terry was preceded in death by his brother Donald Wright.
Throughout his life, Terry found joy in various pursuits. His career was marked by commitment and expertise as he drove his own wrecker and took pride in his Dodge Cummings. He further honed his skills as a diesel mechanic at Metro Nashville Public Schools, where he played a crucial role in maintaining the county's fleet of school buses.
However, Terry's impact extended beyond his professional endeavors. He was highly regarded and admired by not only his family but also his colleagues in the ham radio community. Known by the call sign KM4MAX, Terry found solace in being a ham radio operator and touched the lives of many within the community.
Terry's presence will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. In honor of his memory, visitation will be held on Monday, July 29, 2024, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Springfield Memorial Gardens, Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Springfield, TN. A Celebration of Life ceremony will follow from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location. Interment will take place in Springfield Memorial Gardens.
