Terry Cecil Adams

Terry Cecil Adams, a beloved member of the community and a devoted family man, passed away on October 19, 2023, in Springfield, TN. Born on September 17, 1961, in El Paso, TX, Terry lived a life filled with love and cherished moments. He touched the lives of many through his work at Sara Lee as a route sales and management professional.

Outside of work, Terry had many interests that brought him joy and happiness. He was an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys and the New York Yankees. Terry found solace in fishing, and going to the beach. His favorite place was Daytona Beach, FL. Another significant part of Terry's life was coaching baseball and softball. He shared his knowledge and passion for sports with young athletes, making a positive influence on their lives. Terry was also a member of Springfield Baptist Church.

Above all else, Terry treasured his role as a loving husband and adoring grandfather. His family meant everything to him, and he dedicated himself to their happiness and well-being. Throughout their 39 years together, Terry's wife Cheryl was by his side through thick and thin, supporting him unconditionally.

Terry is survived by his wife Cheryl Palmore Adams and their children Rebecca Hunt (David), Robert Adams (Amelia), and Tiffany Surrett (Michael). He will be lovingly remembered by his grandchildren, who called him “Papa,” Kayla, Bryson, Samuel, Brie, Dean, Joshua, Kaylee, Connor, Jacob, David Lee, Nicholas; great-grandchild Jadion; siblings Christopher Adams, Melissa Adams, Jessica Frazier, and Jake Adams; as well as cherished extended family members and dear friends.

He was predeceased by his parents, Allen Wayne Adams and Maurita Fern Micklus, and his brother Randy Adams.

To honor Terry's memory and celebrate his life, family and friends will gather for visitation services at the Springfield Memorial Gardens, Funeral Home & Cremation Center located at 4005 Memorial Blvd in Springfield, TN. The first visitation will take place on October 23, 2023, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. The second visitation will be held on October 24, 2023, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. A Celebration of Life will follow the second visitation on October 24, 2023, starting at 1:00 PM.

Terry Cecil Adams will be remembered as a dedicated professional, a loving husband, a proud grandfather, and a dear friend. His impact on the lives he touched will forever be cherished and his memory kept alive in the hearts of those who knew him.
