Stanley “Jody” Fuqua, age 64 of Greenbrier passes on Wednesday, December 15, 2021 at his home.
He was born on January 5, 1957 to the late Adolph Nesbit and Edna Maybell Fuqua in Nashville. He was a 1975 graduate of Greenbrier High School and worked for Unarco for 42 years.
Jody loved his family and spending time with them. He enjoyed fishing, bowling, hunting, playing softball, University of Tennessee and Dallas Cowboys football and watching NASCAR. He was the family handyman and mechanic for many. However, Jody had a passion for fireworks and pyrotechnics- making a spectacular show for his family.
In addition to his parents, Jody is preceded in death by his siblings, Mike Fuqua and Karen Fuqua Rice.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years Wanda Proctor Fuqua; children, Josh (Stephanie Blanks) Fuqua and Joel (Tasha) Fuqua; granddaughter, Brooklen Fuqua; grandchildren, Tyler, Brayden, Gabby and Brianna; brother, David (Alice) Fuqua; brothers-in-law, Joey Rice, Billy Proctor, Ronnie (Anne) Proctor, Chris (Tiffany) Conquest and a host of nieces and nephews.
A Life Celebration will be held on Sunday at 4pm with Bro Brent Johnson officiating. The family will visit with friends on Sunday from 2pm until the time of service. Online condolences can be made at www.SpringfieldFH.com.
