Sandra Kay Raymer

October 1, 1958 — August 26, 2023

Sandra Kay Raymer, a loving and caring individual, passed away peacefully on August 26, 2023, surrounded by her beloved family. She was born on October 1, 1958, to the late William and Willow Dene Ferguson and leaves behind cherished memories that will forever warm the hearts of those who were lucky to have known her.

Sandra dedicated a remarkable 25 years of her life to Hinkle Chair Company as a rocking chair maker. Her craftsmanship and attention to detail were truly exceptional. Through her work, she brought joy to countless individuals who now enjoy the comfort and beauty of the chairs she created.

Outside of work, Sandra found solace in simple pleasures. She had a passion for yard work, finding tranquility in creating a beautiful outdoor space for her loved ones to enjoy. Sandra's crochet blankets were treasured by her family; each stitch was infused with the love that she poured into each creation. These blankets will continue to provide warmth both physically and emotionally throughout the generations.

One of Sandra's fondest memories was a seven-day trip to Myrtle Beach with her son, Sam. Those precious moments spent exploring the beach, dining on delicious seafood, and simply basking in each other's company created irreplaceable memories that they held dear.

Family was at the center of Sandra's world. She adored spending quality time with her late husband, Samuel Raymer Sr., their two sons, Samuel (Lacy) Raymer and Bobby (Stephanie Brown) Raymer, as well as their grandchildren: Bobby "Allen" Raymer Jr., Tyler Raymer, Matthew Raymer, Hailie Raymer, and Laurie Baldwin.

Sandra's parents held an important place in her heart as well. Their love and support throughout her life shaped the person she became.

In addition to her immediate family members mentioned above, Sandra is survived by her siblings Cathy Ferguson and William Ferguson Jr. Their bond as siblings brought them together through laughter, tears, and a lifetime of shared experiences.
