Samuel Bruce Gober, a dedicated Police Officer for the City of Greenbrier, peacefully passed away on September 8, 2023, in Bowling Green, KY. He was born on December 27, 1950, in his hometown of Springfield, TN. Samuel will be remembered as a kind and compassionate individual who touched the lives of many.
Having served in the Army, Samuel was not only a committed police officer but also a proud Army Veteran. He demonstrated bravery and selflessness throughout his life, both in military service and in protecting his community. His dedication to upholding the law and ensuring the safety of others will always be admired and appreciated.
Outside of his professional life, Samuel had a passion for the outdoors. He enjoyed hunting and fishing expeditions, finding solace in nature's beauty. Additionally, he found joy in shooting guns and honing his skills as a marksman. These activities brought him immense happiness and fostered lasting memories for him.
Samuel's family and friends meant the world to him. He is survived by his loving Life Partner, Marie, who shared countless beautiful moments with him over the years. Samuel was preceded in death by his parents Porters and Mary Ruth Gober. He also leaves behind his beloved siblings Loretta Satterfield and Virgil Gober.
Those who were fortunate enough to know Samuel will forever cherish the memories they shared with him. His nephews Timmy (Lisa) Gober, and nieces, Tammy (Robby) Harris, Toni Johnson, Julia Gober, and Jennifer Roberts were all deeply impacted by his presence in their lives. Furthermore, he had a host of great nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly.
A Graveside Service to honor Samuel's life was held on September 30, 2023. The service took place at Springfield Memorial Gardens Funeral Home & Cremation Center located at 4005 Memorial Blvd, Springfield, TN 37172. The service commenced at 11:00 AM.
Samuel Bruce Gober's legacy will continue to inspire those who knew him. May his kind and compassionate spirit be carried forward in the hearts of all whose lives he touched. As we bid farewell to a remarkable individual, let us celebrate the life he lived and the positive impact he made on those around him.
