Ruth Hill

Granny Ruth Hill, age 92 of Madison, went to be with her other loved ones on Saturday, August 14, 2010. Mom was "Granny" to everyone and loved by all. She worked in L and D at Memorial Hospital until she retired. She helped lots of children into this world and remains Granny to several. Granny loved God and reading his word. She taught and lived her life with strong faith. She was preceded in death by three sons, Tommy, Jerry and Pete; daughter, Dee; grandson, Gary, Jr.; and great-granddaughter, Brooklyn. She is survived by her daughters, Betty and Bev; son-in-law, Gary Tomlin, Sr.; grandchildren, Melissa, Ranee Joel, Tammy, Ernie and Stephanie Shawn; and great-grandchildren, Nick, Chelsea, Cassie, Bayley, Anna Grace, Brianna, Dillon, Cora, Lexie and Blake. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, August 17, 2010, from the Chapel Hendersonville Funeral Home with Pastor Mike Trotter officiating. Interment will follow in the Hendersonville Memory Gardens with family and friends serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Monday, August 16 and from 9 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
