Robert Groves

GROVES, Robert Dale "Bubba" age 59 of Pegram, TN. Died peacefully after a long battle with cancer. He is preceded in death by his daughter Kristen Renee Groves. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Pauletta of 27 years; his mother, Ledell Threatt Paul of Ashland City, TN; father, Lewis Groves of Savannah, TN; twin sister, Patricia Hunter Philip; step-brother, Danny Threatt Dawn; sister-in-law, Jana Moore Pee Wee; mother-in-law, Marcelle Talley; loving children, Michael Groves Shannon; Michelle Sullivan, daughter and devoted caregiver for the past 22 months, and Jamie Lane; loving grandchildren, Austyn, Rachel, and Ashley Sullivan and Jonah and Molly Lane. Mr. Groves was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and an employee of the Metro Police Dept. for 20 years. He was last employed by the Cheatham County Sheriff's Dept. when he was forced to retire. Active pallbearers will be Harris Nicholson, Bob Harris, Harold Moore, Jason Myers, Austyn Sullivan, Pee Wee Moore, and Christopher Deason. Honorary pallbearers will be family and friends. A sincere thank you to Dr. Ruth Lamar and the Staff of Tennessee Oncology Group. Visitation will be on Monday, May 4th from 2-8 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, May 5th at 1:00 p.m. from West Harpeth Funeral Home with Pastor Stan Coker officiating.
