Robert Gant

Robert Samuel AKA Bobby, Sam, Daddy Gant age 61 of Woodridge, IL passed away on Friday, March 19, 2021 at NorthCrest Medical Center.

He was born on February 13, 1960 to Robert Alva and Alice Mae Gant in Chicago, IL. Bobby was a graduate of Lane Tech College Prep High School in 1978 and he currently worked as an automotive supervisor for UPS.

Bobby enjoyed fishing, fixing old cars, NASCAR and the Chicago Bears. Bobby's life revolved around his daughter, Jewel. Her favorite memories are of the pure joy and excitement on his face when she would run out to greet him screaming DADDY when he came home from work.

Bobby will be remembered for giving the best hugs and his selfless generosity and compassion for his friends and family that he loved dearly.

Bobby is preceded in death by his father, Robert Alva Gant and brother, James Mark Gant.

He is survived by his daughter, Jewel Gant and her mother, Kandee Slowik; his mother, Alice Mae Gant; siblings, William Charles (Toni) Gant, Judy Gant and Kathy (Shawn) Portis; niece, Kalyn (Tom) Noland; nephew, David (Elizabeth) Gant and great nephews, Zayne, Ryen, Anden, Zakary and William and a host of extended family.
