Ray Archey

ARCHEY, Ray-Age 77, passed away June 4, 2009 at the family residence. He is preceded in death by his parents, Dave and Evva Archey; brothers, Jim, Buck and John; sisters, Dorothy Oliphant and Barbara Pressley. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Martha Sue Archey of Nashville; children, Deborah Peter Kennedy of Brentwood and Jeffrey Ray Renita Archey of Cleveland, TN; sisters, Betty Burnette of Nashville and Jetty Mae Patterson of Louisville, KY; brothers, Vernon Archey of Nashville and Toby Archey of Fort Worth, TX and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Archey was a member of the church of Christ, served in the United States Navy, 1951-1955 and was a 1990 retiree of Ford Glass Plant after 31 years of service. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home. Burial to follow at Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to the Vanderbilt Heart and Vascular Institute, the Sarah Cannon Cancer Research Center or the charity of one's choice. Visitation Friday 4-8 p.m.
