Philip Joseph Klober left this earthly world surrounded by his wife and immediate family on the morning of April 17th, 2023 and was received into his heavenly home by his Lord and Savior.
He was born on October 15, 1950, to the late Henry and Josephine Wenger Klober in Russellville, Arkansas and was raised in Atkins, Arkansas. He was a graduate of Subiaco Academy and graduated from Arkansas Tech University in Russellville, Arkansas with a degree in Civil Engineering and owned Klober Engineering for over 30 years. Philip married the love of his life, Evelyn Mallett, on June 4, 1971, and they were blessed with two children, Bradley and Amy. Philip and Evelyn filled their life making cherished memories when taking family vacations every year.
Philip’s life circled around two things, his Lord, and his family and they meant everything to him. Philip, a member of Springfield Baptist Church, was blessed with a servant’s heart and loved giving back to others and the community. Over the years Philip had the honor and privilege to serve as the Robertson County Chamber of Commerce Board Chair, a member of National Society Engineers, he was a deacon at Springfield Baptist Church, a member of the Coopertown Planning Commission, a city and county engineer for several counties, and a member of Gideon International. His gentle nature and kindness drew respect from his family and friends. In addition to his parents, Philip was welcomed to his heavenly home by his son, Bradley Dale Klober.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 52 years, Evelyn Mallett Klober; daughter, Amy (Jamie) Singleton; grandchildren, Carter Bradley Singleton, Caroline (Blaine) Mitchell and Kathryn “Kate” Singleton all of Pleasant View, TN; sibling, Ron (Cathy) Klober of Maumelle, AR; niece, Lisa Klober of Bartlett, TN; nephew, Chris (Kim) Klober of Greenwood, AR; great nephew, Elijah Klober of Greenwood, AR; sister-in-law, DeLena Wright of Russellville, AR; niece, Megan (Jeffrey) Wright-Roberds of Atkins, AR and Madison Wright of Russellville, AR; Honorary Klober children, Lori McAdams of Huntington, AR and Dr. David Scheunemann of Germany.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 19th from 4-8 pm at Springfield Memorial Gardens Funeral Home 4005 Memorial Blvd., Springfield, TN.
A Life Celebration will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, April 20th at Springfield Baptist Church: 400 N. Main Street. Springfield, TN. Burial will follow in Springfield Memorial Gardens with Carter Singleton, Blaine Mitchell, Jonathan Killebrew, Chris Klober, Josh Lyon, Tommy Hoge, Jamie Singleton, Bruce Head, Larry Mitchell, Gerald Johnston, Elijah Klober, Jimmy Singleton, Ben Houston and Ronnie Hollingsworth. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Deacons of Springfield Baptist Church, Stewart Sunday School Class, and the Employee’s of Klober Engineering. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 10 am until the time of service at Springfield Baptist Church.
