Ok Kuffel Deuel age 71 of Springfield passed away on Tuesday, June 2, 2020 at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville.
She was born on May 8, 1949 in South Korea. She she moved to the United States in April of 1976 and earned her U.S. Citizenship in 1984. She worked for 23 years at Holley Performance Products. After her retirement, OK enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and cooking for her family. The kids remember holiday feasts of Ribs, Crab Legs and other family favorites that would last all week. Ok was also an advid fisherman and a favorite memory was when Kim and Ok went fishing at Old Hickory Damn and caught a little Blue Gill they brought him home and put him in the fishtank, where he lived for many years. She was always famous for gardens, where she gew an extensive variety of flowers and vegetables.
She is survived by her sons, John Kuffel and Robert Deuel; daughter, Kim (Brian) Asay; granchildren, Steven Deuel, Jacob McAlister, Nathaniel Asay and Daniel Asay; sister, Sam Sim Pak.
A Life Celebration will be held on Tuesday, June 16th at 6 pm. The family will receive friends on Monday, June 15th from 4-8pm then again on Tuesday from 4pm until the time of service.
