COWART, Myrick (Mike) Ronald Jr. - Age 43 of Hendersonville. Myrick was born Sept. 4, 1970 in Nashville, TN, to Myrick (Mike) Ronald Cowart Sr. and Laura Esther Cowart. Myrick was talented creatively from a very early age and that creativity led him to a career as a worship leader and songwriter in various churches in the early years of his career. During the last ten years of his career, he was a professional photographer, beautifully capturing life's most special moments for families and friends. Even more so, Myrick was most known for creating extraordinary moments for everyone who knew him. With his irresistible smile and his unmistakable laugh, Mike had the ability to turn the most mundane or dismal situation into a party where everyone was smiling and everyone knew that it would all be okay. Myrick was a very generous spirit, often traveling to foreign countries on mission trips and giving his time, service and support to causes he believed in.
Myrick was also an excellent father to his son Noah and his daughter Reese. He deeply loved his children and he was always present in their lives, constantly giving them love, encouragement, affection, and direction. He was proud of his whole family, and he was especially proud of his two children.
Myrick was an incredible man, husband, father, son, brother, musician, and photographer. He is survived by his parents, Mike and Esther Cowart of Hendersonville; his son, Noah Cowart and his daughter, Reese; his first wife and the mother of their children, Penny Cowart Simms; his brother, Benji Cowart and wife Jenna of Franklin, TN; his brother, Jeremy Cowart and wife Shannon of Brentwood, TN; and multiple nephews and nieces...
A Life Celebration will be held on Friday, March 7th, at 2:00 pm at First Baptist Church Hendersonville, 106 Bluegrass Commons Blvd, Hendersonville, TN 37075. Visitation will be 5pm - 8pm on Thursday, March 6th, at the funeral home & 12:30pm-2:00pm Friday, March 7th at the church.
