ROBESON III, Louis Oscar Buddy age 66, went on to be with his Lord after a long illness on September 29 2006. Mr. Robeson was a graduate of Belmont College where he played basketball. He was a teacher and coach with Metro School Systems for 28 years, and coached at Joelton and Stratford High Schools. When Coach Robeson retired, he was regarded as one of the most successful Nashville coaches of his time. Mr. Robeson was an avid golfer, fisherman, and animal lover. He is preceded in death by his parents, Louis O. Robeson Jr. and Mildred French Robeson. Survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Faye Robeson; sons, Michael Diamma Robeson, and Charles L. Jenni Robeson; grandchildren, Jonathan, Brittany, Rachel, Victoria, Caroline, Nicholas, Greta, and Garrison Robeson; sisters, Barbara Gentry and Jackie Dean Burns; brother, Robert Judy Robeson. Funeral Services will be at 1 pm Tuesday, October 3, 2006 at West Harpeth Funeral Home with Rev. William Rolman and Rev. Don Tabor officiating. Interment will follow at Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens. The 1958 Cohn High Basketball Teammates of Mr. Robeson will serve as pall bearers and several of Louis close friends will serve as honorary pallbearers. Visitation will be Monday, October 2 from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm, and Tuesday 11am until time of service. Memorial Contributions can be made to Cheatham County Animal Shelter.
