Lois Smith

SMITH, Lois J. "Mama" born April 2, 1932. Age 80, of Nashville, died February 21, 2013. Passed away peacefully at home with family and friends. Preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, J.B. Smith; sons, Jimmy and Joe; parents, Charles and Nellie Hudgens; 2 brothers and 5 sisters. She is survived by daughters, Lois "Susie" Phelps, Norma Hand; son, J.B. Tina Smith, Jr.; grandchildren, Tadpole, Jimbo, Bill, Stephanie, Buster, Randy, Ray, Rhonda, Dougie; many great-grandchildren; sister, Norma "Sis" Carrell; brother-in-law, Lawrence Anders; nieces, nephews and loved ones. She had a loving heart and a caring gentleness that touched all her family and friends. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. A life celebration service will be at 10am on Monday, February 25, 2013 at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home. Interment to follow at Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens. Pallbearers: James "Tadpole" Smith III, Jimmy "Jimbo" Smith, Paul "Bill" Phelps, James "Buster" Phelps, Ray Hand, Ernest Patterson, Charlie Patterson. Honorary Pallbearers: Johnny Patterson, Stephanie Phelps and Douglas Downing II.
