Linda Johnson

Linda Faye Johnson, age 73 of Cedar Hill passed away on May 9, 2020 at North Crest Medical Center with her family by her side.

She was born on April 23, 1947 to the late Vernon Howard and Mary Estelle Morgan Jernigan in Old Hickory, TN and was a graduate of Maplewood High School. She married the love of her life on January 2, 1996 combining their two families into one.

Linda was described as a witty strong woman that was kind hearted and very sincere. She loved going to Nascar races, traveling to the beach and spending time in her flower gardens. Linda also enjoyed shopping for clothes and jewelry.

Some of the family's favorite memories were the vacations they took through out the years. For Linda's 60th birthday they spent time in the Bahamas at the Atlantis Paradise Island with Deanna that was described as a "Trip of a Lifetime" and going to Florida or Gatlinburg with Robert for quick getaways during the year. Michael remembers all the Christmas time gatherings they would have as a family.

Linda will forever be remembered as a loving wife, mom, granny and friend to all who knew her.

In addition to her parents, Linda is preceded in death by her brother, Vernon Howard Jernigan and sister, Dorothy Ann Rutherford.
She is survived by her husband of 24 years, Robert Johnson; children, Joseph Michael (JoAnne) Luquer, Linda Deanna (Kevin) Lines and Dusty Johnson; 3 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; brother, Ricky (Pat) Jernigan and a host of nieces and nephews.
