Laura Faye Cook age 63 of Springfield passed away on January 3, 2022 at NorthCrest Medical Center.
She was born on August 5, 1958 in Albertville, Alabama the late Charles & Gurtha Hollis. Ms. Cook was a medical assistant at Memorial Hospital for many years. She enjoyed reading mystery novels, writing poetry that was later published, and drawing. Ms. Cook loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them. You could find her most Monday nights watching the Voice or Americas Got Talent and on occasion helping Kathy with a jig saw puzzle.
Her love for her family, friends and especially animals will live in the hearts of her family forever.
In addition to her parents, Ms. Cook is preceded in death by her brother, Jerry Hollis; sister, Pamela Adams and one grandson.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Cook; daughter, Amber Smith; siblings, Kathy Grant, Sally (Joseph) Payne, Marquitta (Daniel) Hibbett and Gene Hollis; 2 grandchildren; 8 nieces and nephews and a host of great nieces and nephews.
A Life Celebration will be held at 2pm on Monday, January 10, 2022 with Pastor Alan Baggett. Burial will follow at Springfield Memorial Gardens with Daniel Hibbett, Chad Eden, Landen Eden, Jared Eden, TJ Lichtenberg, Alex Long and Bradley Adams serving as pallbearers and Joe Payne as Honorary Pallbearer. The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 9, 2022 from 4-8pm then again on Monday from 12pm until the time of service. Online condolences can be made at www.SpringfieldFH.com.
