Larry "Stumpy" Scruggs- age 70 of Hendersonville went to be with Lord on October 22, 2013. He was born in Nashville, TN on September 23, 1943 to the late Thomas and Mayme Scruggs. Larry was a longtime member of Goodlettsville First Baptist Church, a 32nd Degree Mason and a lifetime member of the Al Menah Shrine Clown Unit. He drove locally for Roadway Express. He retired after 42 years of service as the number 1 driver. Larry was an avid hunter and an expert marksman. He loved trucks, as well as trains and enjoyed watching TV. He also had a passion for collecting various guns, knives and coins. He will forever be remembered as a loving husband, father, gaddy-gaddy and friend who touched the lives of many and will be missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his devoted wife of 51 years, Vivian Jo Scruggs; loving daughters, Lisa Sweatt (Charles) and Julie Adams; granddaughter, Larryn Kendall Adams; grandson, Carrington Ferguson; faithful pets, Jaxson & Turner.
