Joyce L. White

Joyce L. White, a beloved soul who touched the hearts of many, passed away on March 3, 2024, in her hometown of Springfield, TN. Her life was a tapestry woven with love, simplicity, and hard work.
 
Born on July 6, 1951, in Springfield, TN, Joyce was a woman of remarkable character. She dedicated many years of her life working at Datrek Professional Bags CEI as an inspector , showcasing her strong work ethic and attention to detail by becoming a supervisor and received many awards. In 2000, Joyce achieved one of her proudest accomplishments by going back to school at the age of 49 to earn her GED—a testament to her determination and lifelong love for learning.
 
Joyce's warm and loving personality endeared her to everyone she met. She cherished the simple things in life - from the joy of watching TV, to listening to Elvis, the beauty of growing flowers with her amazing green thumb, visiting with family and friends or going out to eat. Joyce found immense happiness in spending time with her family, relishing home-cooked meals and basking in the beauty of flowers. She had a fondness for the beach, the mountains and Fall Creek Falls. 
 
In her free time, Joyce could be found indulging in hobbies like cooking for her family, shopping for stylish clothes, and cherishing moments when her family came together—the embodiment of joy for her. Her love for her family she learned for the teaching from the Bible and the love the Lord has for us.
 
Joyce leaves behind a legacy that will be forever treasured by those who survive her. She is reunited in peace with her parents Horace and Margie Reynolds and her brother Johnny Reynolds, sister, Buna Reynolds Schaible and sister-in-law Paula Reynolds and son-in-law, Jimmy R. Jones. Joyce is survived by her daughter Sherry L. Jones; sons Stephen (Tonja) Jones and Barry G. White; grandchildren Evan Graves, Stephen W. "JR" Jones Jr., Austin White, Aubryn White; three great-grandchildren;; and brother Dale Reynolds.
 
A visitation will be held on March 6, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM followed by a graveside service at Springfield Memorial Gardens Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Springfield, TN.
 
Joyce White's daughter Sherry would like to say a thank you to Springfield Heights, Dr. Craciun, Dr. Jackson, NHC staff and the nurses at NorthCrest Medical Center for all the care and love they showed their mother over the last months. .
 
Joyce L. White's memory will live on through the love she shared to her children, grandchildren and great-grandchild no matter what they always held a special place in their heart.  May she rest in eternal peace.
