Jose Alfredo "Chicharito" Ortiz Mendoza age 17 of Cedar Hill passed away on November 24, 2020.
Jose was born on October 7, 2003 to Jose Nativid Ortiz Logoria and Laura Fabiola Mendoza in Springfield. He was a Junior at Jo Byrns High School where enjoyed spending time with his friend in the Belks parking lot on Friday night. Jose was a member of Grace Baptist Church and played two years of football at Jo Byrns. He was described as a hard-working young man that was silly and loved to make the people around him happy. He enjoyed working on his Tahoe, roofing with his dad and welding.
His heart of gold, love of his friends and especially his family will be remembered by all that loved him.
He is survived by his parents, Jose (Cindi) Ortiz and Laura (Jose) Mendoza Euyoque; siblings, Nadia, Angel, and Anthony Euyoque and Valery, Vanya, Lensey, Nataly Ortiz; grandparents, Jose Alfredo (Maria) Margarita Mendoza and Jose (Arabela) Longoria Ortiz and a host of aunt, uncles and cousins.
A Life Celebration will be held at 2pm on Thursday, December 3, 2020 at Springfield Funeral Home with Bro Steve Freeman officiating. Burial will follow at Springfield Memorial Gardens with family and friends serving as pallbears. Honoary pallbearers will be the Jo Byrns Class of 2022. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 2nd from 4-8pm then again on Thursday from noon until the time of service.

José nació el 7 de octubre de 2003 de José Nativid Ortiz Logoria y Laura Fabiola Mendoza en Springfield. Era un estudiante de tercer año en Jo Byrns High School, donde disfrutó pasar tiempo con sus amigos en el estacionamiento de Belks el viernes por la noche. José era miembro de Grace Baptist Church y jugó dos años de f&uacutetbol en Jo Byrns. Fue descrito como un joven trabajador que era gracioso y amaba hacer felices a las personas que lo rodeaban. Disfrutaba trabajar en su Tahoe, techar con su papá y soldar.
Su corazón de oro, el amor a sus amigos y sobre todo a su familia serán recordados por todos los que lo amaban.
Le sobreviven sus padres, José (Cindi) Ortiz y Laura (José) Mendoza Euyoque; hermanos, Nadia, Angel y Anthony Euyoque y Valery, Vanya, Lensey, Nataly Ortiz; abuelos, José Alfredo (María) Margarita Mendoza y José (Arabela) Longoria Ortiz y una gran cantidad de tías, tíos y primos.
Una celebración de la vida se llevará a cabo a las 2 pm el jueves 3 de diciembre de 2020 en Springfield Funeral Home con el hermano Steve Freeman oficiando. Seguirá el entierro en Springfield Memorial Gardens con familiares y amigos como osos del féretro. Los portadores honorarios del féretro serán la clase de Jo Byrns de 2022. La familia recibirá a los amigos el miércoles 2 de diciembre de 4 a 8 pm y nuevamente el jueves desde el mediodía hasta la hora del servicio.
