Jordan Lorenzo De' wayne Dickerson, Sr. a beloved individual who touched the hearts of many, has peacefully passed away in Springfield, TN. Jordan led a fulfilling life filled with diverse experiences and meaningful connections.
Born to Lakecia Barbee-Dickerson and Terry Eugene Holman Thursday, January 20, 1994, in Springfield, Tennessee, Jordan was a man of many talents and passions. He pursued a dynamic career path, excelling at Coca Cola , obtaining a CDL License, working for the City of Springfield, Payne Chevrolet, Tracy Langston, Budwieser and Electrolux. Furthermore, his entrepreneurial spirit shone brightly throughout his endeavors.
He was baptized many years ago on January 15th at Springfield Baptist Church on his mothers birthday that she will never forget. Jordan also attended Banks Chapel Methodist Church where he sung in the choir, St. Matthews Missionary Baptist Church and City of Faith. Jordan was also a Mason at Pride of Springfield Lodge #125.
In the realm of education, Jordan started playing football at the age of five years old as a running back. He graduated from Springfield High School Class of 2012 where he played basketball and football. While studying Criminal Justice at Tennessee State University, he showcased his athletic abilities as a running back. Jordan's proudest accomplishments included being the first in his family to attend university and excelling as a football player. He was a huge fan of the University of Texas at Austin.
Jordan will be fondly remembered for his infectious personality. He was outgoing, highly motivated, and exceptionally skilled. Family held a special place in his heart; he adored his children - Jordan Lorenzo De'wayne Dickerson Jr and Makiyah Jordan Dickerson - and exhibited unwavering dedication towards them. Known for his dignity, integrity, and high expectations along with being the life of the party and honest to his core. He would give you the clothes off his back when someone in his family or community was in need.
He found joy in the simple things like traveling to California, Georgia and Florida, playing sports, cherishing time with his kids and family as well as listening to Young Dolph's music. His memories will forever include his love for fashion, penchant for comedy that brought smiles to many faces and his passion for dancing.
A visitation will be held at Springfield Memorial Gardens Funeral Home & Cremation Center on March 1st starting at 11:00 AM followed by a Celebration of Life at 1:00 PM in the same location with eulogy by Rev. Randy K. Taylor and Rev. Torey Ellis officiating. Casket attendance will be Keyvan Dickerson, Keyon Dickerson, Montrell Baker, Rondrickus Woodard, Clay Nash, Darius Shannon. Honorary casket attendance will be the Springfield High School Class of 2012, a host of childhood and adult friends and extended family.
He is greeted in heaven by his best friend Marcell Tra 'Von Willis, his grandparents, Mary Elizabeth Holman, Mose Lee Holman, Ronald Gunn and Joe Larry Dickerson and aunt, Cassandra Ann Holman Shannon.
Jordan will long be remembered by the family whom he cherished, the friends he adored and the many people his lives he touched. His children Jordan Lorenzo De'wayne Dickerson, Jr and Makiyah Jordan Dickerson; His mother Lakecia Barbee-Dickerson; father, Terry Eugene Holman; siblings, Dondrinkus Dickerson, Ke'Cionna Johnson, Pa'Tricka Barbee Dowlen, Treamaine Dowlen and Ryann Holman ; grandmother, Janice Marie Dickerson Gunn, great grandmother, Beverly Baker, uncle, Kevin Dickerson, Mose Lee Holman Jr. Marvin Holman, Phillip Holman; aunt, Courtney Dickerson, Sharron Holman, Tammy Holman nieces and nephews, Keyvan and Keyon Dickerson, Alondria Dickerson, devoted uncle Carlos Stewart Sr. and John Frank Baker, Jr., great uncle, Jeffrey Lynn Baker; godfathers, Jerome M. Converse and William R. Underhill and a host of great aunts, great uncles and cousins.
In honoring Jordan's memory, let us cherish the moments shared with him and celebrate a life well-lived. May he rest in eternal peace knowing he was cherished by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. A balloon release will take place at O'Reilly's after the interment at Springfield Memorial Gardens.
