Jonathan David May, age 36 of Springfield, passed away on November 10, 2020.

Jonathan was born November 8, 1984 in Nashville and was the son of Martha Lennon and the late John Walter May.

Jonathan loved the outdoors. His free-spirit and lively approach to life found him happiest when he was fishing, boating, kayaking and canoeing, water & snow skiing, camping or hunting. He found joy in spending time with friends and family just having a cookout and throwing a party. He'll be remembered as an honest, friendly and respectful man. Not judging those around him and having a sensitive side to support those in need. Some of his favorite places were Colorado or the Caney Fork River.

In addition to his mother: Martha (Gary) Lennon; he is survived by his son's: John May and Cameron Sowell; sister: Jessica (John) Rhoades; niece: Lennon Rhoades; grandmother: Evelyn Faye Dangerfield; and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins.

The family will receive friends for visitation at Springfield Funeral Home on Sunday, November 29 from 2:00 - 4:00 PM. A Celebration of Life service will begin at 4:00 PM, officiated by Pastor Vikki Henderson.
