John Robert Lindahl, III, affectionately known as Johnny, passed away on June 27, 2023, in Springfield. He was born on April 20, 1975, in Nashville to his loving parents, Robyn and John Robert, Jr.
Johnny had a passion for art from an early age and pursued his love for it throughout his life. He graduated from Springfield High School in 1993 before obtaining a Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design. His talent as an artist shone through in every piece he created, whether it be drawing, painting, or graphic design.
After high school, Johnny joined the United States Navy and served his country with pride for two years. His military service shaped him into a disciplined and selfless individual who carried these values into his civilian life.
Following his time in the Navy, Johnny embarked on a career as a Customer Service Representative for hotels in Nashville and St. Augustine. He dedicated many years to ensuring that guests experienced exceptional service during their stays. He adored Nashville and took great pride in sharing its beauty and wonders with others. Johnny's love for his hometown was evident in everything he did; he knew all the hidden gems and could recommend the best spots to visit. His enthusiasm for Nashville was contagious, leaving an indelible mark on those fortunate enough to experience it through his eyes. His warm-hearted personality made him perfect for the role as he always went above and beyond to ensure that everyone had a memorable and enjoyable time.
Johnny cherished his family deeply, and they meant the world to him. He was particularly fond of being a true "Funcle," fulfilling his role as the fun uncle to perfection. With a big heart and an infectious smile, he made sure that the little ones were always having a great time whenever they were together. Johnny will always be remembered for his loving and kind nature. He had an unwavering desire to see others happy and would go to great lengths to ensure their enjoyment. His generosity and selflessness touched the lives of countless people, leaving a lasting impact on all those who were lucky enough to know him.
He is survived by his mother, Robyn (Gene) Masoner; father, John Robert (Alice) Lindahl, Jr; brothers, Patrick (Christina), Hank (Kristy), and Todd (Natasha); fur sister, Tink; uncle, Leslie Wooldridge; aunt, Sherry Lindahl Lewis; cousin Krista (Chance) Alford; nephews and nieces: Arianna (Brenden) Carr, DJ, Dominic, Xander, William, Lily, Christina, Colton. He is also survived by his great-nephew John Patrick "JP" Carr.
Johnny is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, John Robert Lindahl, Sr and Jane Sumner Lindahl, maternal grandparents Leslie "Tootie" Wooldridge and Dorothy Lofgren Wooldridge; and brother, Marc Masoner.
Johnny will be dearly missed by his family and friends. His vibrant spirit and loving presence will forever live on in our hearts. As we bid farewell to this extraordinary individual who brought immense joy into our lives, let us celebrate the indelible mark he left upon us all. May Johnny rest in eternal peace.
