Joe Estes

ESTES, Joe C., age 69 of Nashville, went to be with the Lord on December 22, 2008. Bro. Joe was a bi-vocational pastor in Middle Tennessee, he pastored First Baptist of White Bluff, Fairfield Baptist in Centerville, Silver Springs Baptist in Mt. Juliet, Calvary Baptist in Lebanon, Charlotte Road Baptist in Nashville, Parker's Creek Baptist in Burns, and retired from the ministry in 2005 due to Alzheimer's Disease; Bro. Joe was a charter member of the Charlotte Road Baptist Church. He was employed by the Ford Glass Plant for 33 years, and was discharged from the Tennessee National Guard in 1968 as a 1st Lieutenant. Bro. Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Clayton Estes and Zora Tucker, and his sister, Glenda Morisch. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Joan Estes; daughter, Sonya Estes; son, Joseph Estes, Jr., sisters, Peggy Wayne Fisher, Carolyn Raymond Pickler, Claudia Steve Hall, and Sherrie Bob Spencer. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, December 27, 2008 at 10:00 A.M. from the Charlotte Road Baptist Church at 7511 Charlotte Pike, Nashville, TN. The Deacons of the Charlotte Road Baptist Church will serve as active pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Deacons of Bro. Joe's past churches.
