Brian Mabry, a dedicated and hardworking Contractor, passed away at the age of 60. He was born Jeffrey Brian Mabry on March 29, 1963, in Nashville, TN to the late Jimmy and Evelyn Wilkerson Mabry, Brian leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness that will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him.
After graduating from Springfield High School in 1981, Brian embarked on a remarkable career in contracting. Known for his exceptional work ethic and attention to detail, he spent many years honing his craft and building houses for his loved ones. Brian took great pride in his work and found joy in creating spaces where memories could be made.
Beyond his career, Brian had a passion for woodworking and cooking for his family. He would spend hours creating delicious meals for his loved ones. In these moments, he expressed his creativity and love through the labor of his hands.
Brian was also an avid fisherman and music enthusiast. He enjoyed spending time with his son-in-law and friend Wes, casting lines into the water while engaging in spirited conversations about their favorite tunes. These moments were filled with laughter and camaraderie that brought immeasurable joy to both Brian and Wes.
When he wasn't pursuing his hobbies, Brian cherished the company of his two precious girls - Kendall and Evie. They were the light of his life, and he treasured every moment spent together with them. From family outings to simple everyday conversations, Brian's love for Kendall and Evie knew no bounds.
Brian will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. He was a kind-hearted soul who would give you the shirt off his back without hesitation. His generosity knew no bounds, and he possessed a rare ability to make everyone feel valued and appreciated.
On October 16, 2023, friends and family will gather at Springfield Funeral Home located at 4005 Memorial Blvd in Springfield, TN, for a visitation from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Additional visitation will occur on October 17, 2023, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the same location. A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 PM with Bro. Carl officiating, followed by burial at 3:00 PM with Ben Armistead Zach Armistead, Wes Neal, Matt Crabtree, Chad Crabtree, and Carney Felts serving as pallbearers, and the Honorary Pallbearer will be Matt Davis, Trevor Davis, and the class of 1981 of Springfield High School
Brian is survived by his beloved daughter Kendall (Wes) Neal, granddaughter Evelyn Rose Neal, cousin Joy Ross, and many extended family and dear friends who will remember him fondly. In addition to his parents, Jimmy and Evelyn Wilkerson Mabry, Brian is preceded in death by his grandparents, Albert and Edna Mai Wilkerson, Fred and Frances Mabry; and his brother Steven Wayne Mabry.
In this time of mourning, let us remember Brian for the extraordinary person he was - a loving father, a dedicated contractor, and a friend who touched the lives of everyone he encountered. May his spirit continue to guide us as we navigate life without his physical presence. Rest in peace, Brian Mabry.
