Jane Hopkins

Jane Dabney Hopkins passed away on June 6, 2013. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Jack Bramlette Hopkins. She is survived by her son, Dabney Hayden Hopkins of Redlands, CA; her sister, Donna D. Hall of Mt. Juliet TN; and her brother, Carl Dabney of Burlingame, CA.Nieces and nephews include Elizabeth Del Papa, Laura Marshall, Mark Wehby and Samuel Wehby. Nieces and nephews include David Buttrey, Dianne Wild, Denson Buttrey, Dan Buttrey, Dana Croswhite, and Anne Hawkins.Jane was born in Overton County, Tennessee on October 11, 1925. Her parents were Martha and Morton Dabney. Jane was graduated from Peabody College in 1949 with a Master of Arts degree. She worked in radio and television at WSM and WSM –TV until1 1960 when the family moved to northern Virginia. Jack and Jane spent many years living in North Africa and the Middle East, retiring to Nashville in 1991. Jane will be remembered for her kindness, generosity and charitable works. She gave of her time and herself when she could. She shall be remembered by many and missed by more. A Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, June 11, 2013 at the Bellevue Presbyterian Church, 100 Cross Timbers Dr, Nashville, TN 37221, 615 646-1666.
