JOBE, James Edward "Jim", age 68 of Hendersonville passed away Thursday, January 17, 2013. He was born in Nashville to the late Thomas Lovel and Lake Audalene Jobe on December 1, 1944. He loved to tell stories and considered himself a historian. Jim served in the Marine Corp during the Vietnam War as a radio telegraph operator. He received several medals for his service including the Vietnam Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal, and Vietnam Campaign Medal. Jim was retired from the Postal Service after many years of service, and was the Vice-President for the International Relief Center IRC. He was also an employee of Hertz for the past 6 years. He is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Carol Ellis Jobe; children, Michael Kelly JobeMarisol Valverde, Bonnie Jobe AngkawAdrian Cardane, and David Patrick Jobe; grandchildren, Adrian Michael Angkaw, Luka James Jobe, and Lilah Jade Jobe; brother, Thomas Loval Jobe. A Life Celebration for Mr. Jobe will be conducted on Tuesday, January 22, 2013 at 2pm from the chapel of Hendersonville Funeral Home. Interment will be 1 pm Thursday, January 24, 2013 at Middle Tennessee State Veteran's Cemetery. Visitation with the Family will be held on Monday 2pm-8pm and again on Tuesday from 1pm-2pm.
