AULT, James Age 78 of Franklin passed away on September 21, 2008. Mr. Ault was a graduate of Knoxville High School, the University of Tennessee and the University of Michigan where he graduated with honors. Mr. Ault served in the U. S. Army from November 1954 through September 1956. Mr. Ault served the State of Tennessee for 38 years teaching at the University of Tennessee, working at the Knoxville Health Department and concluding his career in various executive level positions in the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation. Mr. Ault was preceded in death by his parents, Marion D. & Beatrice T. Ault, and brother Carol Ault. Mr. Ault is survived by his loving wife, Maurice W. Ault, two sons Malcolm & Kelvin Ault and daughters-in-law Margie & Sheryl Ault. Mr. Ault is also survived by his five grandchildren Curtis, Ryan, Bryce, Reagan and Rachel Ault and by his sister Dorris McPherson along with several nieces and nephews. He was a long time member of Judson Baptist Church where he served as a deacon. Visitation will be at Judson 4900 Franklin Road, Nashville, TN 37220 on Monday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 PM and Tuesday afternoon from 1:00 to 2:00 PM with services following at the church. Dr. Gene Mims, Dr. Ernest Standerfer and Rev. Charles Ballard will be presiding over service. A private graveside service to follow at Harpeth Hills Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Mr. Ault's Grandsons and the Judson deacons. Honorary will be former co-workers from the State of Tennessee and the Dorcas Life Group and Marvelous Mix Sunday school classes. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in honor of Mr. Ault to the Foundations for the Future building fund at Judson Baptist Church. HARPETH HILLS FUNERAL HOME, 9090 HWY 100, 615 646-9292.
