PORTER, H.M. "Jack" – Age 79 years, of Nashville, TN, passed away June 4, 2013. Preceded in death by parents, H.M. Porter, Sr. & Artie Brown Porter. Survived by wife, Sherry Cowan Porter; daughter, Pamala Jamey West; son, Bart Coker; sister, Janet Willis Hankla; grandchildren, Lyndsay Russell, Jon Russell, and Abby West. He was a graduate of the University of Kentucky BS & MBA, and a US Veteran. He was retired after years of service at HCA & Health Trust International from 1970-1993., CEO of Edgefield & Southern Hills Hospital, of Nashville. Director of Development HCA International Pan Asia Region, Singapore, and Director of Development at both HCA & Health Trust International. Jack was an avid reader and a UK basketball and boating enthusiast, and a world traveler. He enjoyed exotic cooking, gardening and time with his family and friends. The Life Celebration service will be on Friday, June 7. 2013, at 1pm, at the West Harpeth Funeral Home.
