Helen Jones

JONES, Helen Buttrey age 82 of Nashville, lost her courageous battle with cancer on October 8, 2006. She was born July 3, 1924 in Williamson County, TN, to Odie L. Buttrey and Mesa T. Buttrey who preceded her in death. Helen is also preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Priestly L. Jones. Survived by loving daughters, Sandra Jones, and Dr. Beverley Jones; beloved son-in-law, Mark E. Langford; grandchild, Kristie Carlos Garcia; great-granchildren, Austin, and Justin Garcia; sister, Allene Taylor; cousins, Nettie Mai Buttrey, and Brenda Wayne Womack; nieces Elizabeth Chester Armes of Goodlettsville, TN, Peggy Bloodworth of Reno, Nevada; nephews, Daniel Stella Mangrum, Howard Mangrum, Larry Margarette Mangrum; Donnie Cheryl Mangrum, of Fairview TN, and David Mangrum of Lyles, TN. Helen is also survived by special daughters Mary Binkley Wayne Birthright of Hendersonville, TN; Linda Pyle Allen Pierse of Owasso, OK; Catherine Clay Hayward of Nashville, TN. Julia Mark Prince of Kingston Springs TN, and longtime friends, Onetia Lovell, and Doris Bramble of Nashville. Funeral Services will be held at 1pm Wednesday October 11, 2006 at West Harpeth Funeral Home with Bro. Gene Forehand officiating. Interment will follow at Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens. Mark Prince, Clay Hayward, Wayne Birthright, Wayne Womack, Tommy Pyle, Robert Delaney, Doug Stogner, and Ricky Bramble will serve as pallbearers.
