Helen Bass- age 88, of Hendersonville went to be with the Lord on April 6, 2014. She was born in Hawkins County, TN on July 8, 1925 to late Elijah and Bessie Laster. Helen was a woman of faith and a longtime member of Hendersonville First Baptist Church. Throughout her life she enjoyed camping, travelling, the beach, working in her flower beds, making clothing and most of all being a mother. In her home the Lord was always first. Helen had devotional every morning. She will always be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend who will be deeply missed.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Roy K. Bass; grandson, Corey Redman; great-niece, Sherry Louderback. She is survived by her daughter, Ramona Redman (Wayne); grandson, Lukas Redman; sister, Opal Louderback.
A life celebration service will be held on Friday April 11, 2014 at 11 am in the chapel of Hendersonville Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Hendersonville Memory Gardens.
