Harold Kempf Biggs age 76 of Coopertown passed away Friday, April 26, 2019 in Clarksville, TN.
He was born to the late Virgil and Alma Louise Biggs in Springfield, TN. He worked for Hinkle Chair Company and retired from Precision Products of Tennessee.
Harold was described as a caring and loving man. He loved his family and enjoyed every minute with them whether it was fishing for crappie or making homemade Elderberry and Strawberry wine. Harold loved animals especially "Rosie" the cow that was a family pet. Harold and Rosie used to play hide and seek and were the best of friends. Another loved pet was Simmon the cat that helped him hunt moles. He also loved his chickens and raised them from babies. The last few years you would find him shooting squirrels that got a little to close to his truck after they chewed his wires a couple of times.
Every spring Harold and the boys would start plowing up the ground to make his famous garden. Harold would grow tomatoes, turnip greens, corn and peppers to name a few. However, it would never fail Harold would grow twice as much as the family could eat or can and one year planted over 300 hills of tomatoes. But with his kind nature he would give the rest away to his neighbors and friends. Even last year although Harold wasn't feeling good his love for gardening and his dedication to his family and friends, he sat on the ground and continued to plant his onions. Just this past Tuesday, Harold asked if his garden had been plowed and was ready for planting.
Harold will forever be remembered as a loving Husband, Father and Pa.
