Allen Dickerson, age 42 of Clarksville and formally of Greenbrier, passed away on February 12, 2019 in Clarksville.
Griffen Allen Dickerson was born on April 27, 1976 to the late Porter and Edith Dickerson in Springfield. He attended Greenbrier High School and was apart of the Class of 1994. He was a great basketball player in high school and still enjoyed playing with his daughters and nephew Blake. He worked for many years as a painter and refinishing floors.
He enjoyed spending time with his family. They went on trips to Gatlinburg, Florida and enjoyed family cook outs. Fishing with Paul and Blake and riding dirt bikes was always a favorite past time. When LeeAnn was cooking dinner for the family you could find Allen and Blake throwing a baseball in the backyard or listening to country music with his girls. On the weekends you could find him watching his favorite teams the Colts and Gators and catching dinner at his favorite Mexican Restaurant in Clarksville.
Allen was the true definition of a "Good Ol Boy", he knew everyone and was willing to give you his shirt off his back if you needed it.
In addition to his parents, Allen is preceded in death by his brother, Dwight Dickerson.
He is survived by his life partner Tanika Grundy; daughters, Chelsey, Dakota, and Taylor Dickerson; siblings Lee Ann (Paul Draughon) Dickerson and Porter (Melanie) Dickerson and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
A Life Celebration will be held on Monday, February 18, 2019 at 2pm in the Chapel of Springfield Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Springfield Memorial Gardens with Jonathan Draughon, Trever Roberts, Tavon Horton, Nathan Dickerson, Brandon Lowe and Paul Draughon serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 1 pm until the time of service.
