Gayle Hancock

Gayle C. Hancock, age 73 of Ridgetop, passed away at NHC in Springfield on July 8, 2021.

She was born to the late Thomas and Janette Colbert in Greenwood, Mississippi and met the love of her life, Neal Hancock, in the summer of 1970 in Gallatin, Tennessee while attending business school. They were married on October 30, 1970 and were blessed with a beautiful daughter. Mrs. Hancock enjoyed spending time with her family and taking care of her swimming pool. She had a passion for helping animals in need and loved watching horror movies.

Mrs. Hancock is survived by her husband of 50 years, Neal Robb Hancock; daughter, Shanon J. Hancock; grandson, Andrew Keenan Manners; sister, Janis C. Evans; niece, Jana (Brian) Watkins; nephew, Louie Holland and Tracy (Ellie) Hancock and great-nephew, Colbert Watkins.

A Graveside Service will be conducted on Monday, July 12th at 12pm at Springfield Memorial Gardens with Brother John Briggs officiating. In lieu of flowers, Mrs. Hancock’s wishes were for donations to be made to an Animal Rescue Organization of their choice.
