BRYANT, Flora "Flossie" 85, Nashville, December 26, 2006. She was a devoted loving wife and mother lovingly known to some as "Angel Lady." Flossie shared her talents in a variety of capacities such as: a certified ceramic teacher, interior designer, bridal consultant as well as the china and silverware manager at Harvey's, chairman and editor of the Belle Meade Mansion Cookbook, and Fall Market Chair for Association for the Preservation of Tennessee Antiquities; served on the Board of Governors of Bell Meade Mansion and O'More School of Design and as Ladies Day Chairman at the old Colemere Club; member of Hillwood Presbyterian Church; an active member in the women's groups at Downtown Presbyterian Church, Retired Officers Wives Club; 50 year member of Order of Eastern Star, Vashti Chapter; and lifelong Democrat. Preceded in death by husband, Welch C. Bryant. Survived by daughter, Beebe Bryant; sons, Peter Patty Bryant and Tab Agnes Bryant; grandchildren, Alexandra, Carson, and Arman Bryant. The graveside service will be at 2 p.m. on Friday, December 29, 2006 at The Middle Tennessee Veterans Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Nashville Union Rescue Mission or Hillwood Presbyterian Church.
