Faylene Norrod

Faylene Hutcherson Norrod age 79 of Springfield passed away on March 29, 2022 at NorthCrest Medical Center.

She was born on December 31, 1942 in Springfield to the late Eugene and Hazel Hutcherson. Mrs. Faylene started at a young age working at a Donut Shop and would continue her dedication at Acme Boot for 35 years and spend the last 10 years at CEI.

She married the love of her life in 1964 and they were blessed with four children. Through the years Mrs. Faylene enjoyed cooking for her family and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. For years Mrs. Faylene and Mr. Carl would drive down from Paducah and pick the grandchildren up and take them home for the weekend.

Mrs. Faylene will forever be remembered as a loving wife, mother, daughter, and Granny-Gigi.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Faylene is preceded in death by her husband Carl Norrod, and siblings, Bobby, Hutcherson, Jimmy Hutcherson, Ricky Hutcherson and Peggy Fitzgerald.

She is survived by her children, Twila Nicholson and her late husband Bill, Carol (Scott) Bagwell, Matthew (Lisa) Norrod and David (Margaret) Norrod; 13 grandchildren, a host of great grandchildren; sisters, Wanda Kay Pulley and Cheryl Mapel (David) Lane and a numerous nieces and nephews.
