Ervin Mills

MILLS, Ervin "Bill", age 84 of Nashville, November 4, 2008. Mr. Mills was a veteran of World War II, 3rd Infantry, U.S. Army, he received the Purple Heart, and was retired from the Ford Glass Plant. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Virgie Mills; brother, Arvil Mills; and sister, Sylvia Hiner and Goldie Goble. He is survived by his loving wife Frances Frizzell Mills,; sons, Gary E. Debbie Mills, of Hendersonville; Mark D. Barbara Mills, of Nashville; daughters, Lana G. Netherton, of Nashville; and Emogene Vanatta, of Abilene, Texas; grandchildren, Kyle Netherton, Chris Netherton, Kevin Mills, Samantha Mills Waggoner, Taylor Smith, Brian and John Vanatta, and Margie Vanatta Miles, 14 great-grandchildren, and1 great-great-grandchild; brothers, Frank Peggy Mills, of Dayton, Ohio, Edd Dorothy Mills, of Mansfield, Ohio, Robert Lee Lula Mills, of Akron, Ohio; brother-in-law, Laney Frizzell, and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, November 7, 2008 at 11:00 A.M. from the St. John's United Methodist Church at 6300 Charlotte Pike with Rev. David Lay officiating. Interment will follow in Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens. Memorial donations may be made to St. John's United Methodist Church.
