Donna Moore Choate, age 74 of Springfield, passed away on June 27th at White House Health Care. Funeral Services will be held on July 7, 2023, at 2pm in the Chapel of Springfield Funeral Home with Pastor Mark Carroll officiating. Burial will follow in Bethlehem Baptist Cemetery with David Moore, Jimmy Moore, Joe Vinson, Stan Porter, Clint Collins, Barry Cobb, and Nick Cobb serving as pallbearers; Honorary Pall Bearers, David Anderson, Tommy Anderson, and Jerry Collins. The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 6th from 5-8 pm at Springfield Funeral Home and again on Friday from 12pm until the time of service.
Donna was born on May 17, 1949, to the late William and Margaret “Pug” Moore in Springfield. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Keith Choate, sister, Paula Moore Thompson, and her brother, Jeffrey Anderson Moore.
Donna was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church. She was in the class of 1967 at East Robertson High School where she played basketball, a cheerleader, and voted Miss Maroon & White. She was married to Keith from 1968 until his passing in 2015. He was the love of her life and best friend. They owned Country Screen Graphics in Goodlettsville for many years. Her favorite time however was spent with her children and grandkids who lovingly referred to her as “Puda.”
She is survived by her son, Jason (Jodie) Choate of Springfield; daughter, Ann-Margaret Choate of Springfield; grandchildren, Makenna Choate, Katelyn Choate, Jason Robert (JJ) Andrews-Choate, Carlie Choate and sister Celia (Gary) Thompson of Greenbrier and a host of nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery Fund.
