REED II, W. RICHARD DICK, of Hendersonville and Bethpage, departed this life at the age of 67 on July 30, 2010 after a violent battle with cancer. Richard was born on October 18, 1942 in Fairmont, West Virginia to the late Richard and Mary Reed. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Rebecca Coffman Reed. He is also survived by a wonderful son, Daniel W. Tania Montondo Reed; and one beautiful grandson, Daniel Reed of Scottsdale/Flagstaff, AZ. Richard was a Certified Public Accountant with degrees from David Lipscomb University and the University of Tennessee. After retiring as Director of Internal Auditing for the Tennessee State Health Department, he taught and was an Advisory for the Nashville Auto Diesel College. For the last few years, he was financial advisor for ServPro Industry of Gallatin. He was a member of the United States Army Band and travelled extensively with the band. He was a member of the Hendersonville Church of Christ. The family will receive friends from 11a.m. until 1p.m. on Monday, August 2, at Hendersonville Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. on Monday from the chapel of Hendersonville Funeral Home with Roger Coffman and Doug Brown officiating.
