Cynthia Mealer

Cynthia Irene Mealer, age 66 of Springfield, passed away December 22, 2021.  She was born in Nashville, TN on June 19, 1955 to the late Hasil and Irene Ellis.  She was also preceded in death by her brother Errol Ellis, and her son Joel Alan Mealer.  Cynthia is survived by her husband of 47 years, David Mealer; daughter, Tonya (Michael) Newton; son, Ben Mealer; grandsons, Austin, Brayden, and Colton Mealer; sisters, Patricia Richardson and Alicia Covington.  Cynthia worked for 18 years at VF Imagewear in Nashville until she retired in July, 2020.  Celebration of Cynthia’s life will be at Springfield Funeral Home Tuesday December 28, 2021 at 2pm with visitation from 12 Noon until time of service.  Interment will follow at Springfield Memorial Gardens.
